We were recently introduced to a new client through one of our trusted contacts at an independent Ferrari dealership. Having semi retired, the client was looking to treat himself to a “fun” weekend car. His heart was set on a Ferrari 355 Spider.

For those unfamiliar with Ferrari terminology, “Spider” (or “Spyder”) refers to a convertible model, typically with a soft-top roof that can be retracted. The name harks back to classic open-top sports cars and is now a hallmark of Italian motoring elegance. The 355 Spider, produced between 1995 and 1999, remains one of the most iconic Ferraris of the era.

The client had test-driven a couple of examples before settling on the one; what won him over was the sheer quality of the drive.

Although the vehicle was first registered in 1998, we were able to arrange a tailored Ferrari finance Lease Purchase agreement, making ownership both accessible and financially efficient. The structure included a final balloon payment that matched the amount of the initial advance, helping to keep monthly payments to a minimum.

It’s worth noting that the client will be responsible for the balloon payment at the end of the term. However, he retains flexibility, should he wish he can look at refinancing options when the agreement ends. He also has the option to settle early at any time without penalty.

Launched in 2007, the 911 (997) GT2 superseded the 996 variant. The appearance of the 997 GT2 included a revised front lip, a newly designed rear wing with two small air inlets on either side and a revised rear bumper featuring titanium exhaust pipes and shark fin outlets

We had quoted this client previously and he contacted us when he was looking to purchase a Ferrari. At the point of his initial enquiry he didn’t know which model he wanted, so wished to test drive a few to see which he liked.

A new Fast Car Finance client who had recently purchased a modern Ferrari, wished to add a classic car to his collection and approached us for classic car finance.

The client located a 1966 Lotus Cortina being sold by a private vendor. Fast Car Finance can look to fund private purchases in certain circumstances, but they do require further due diligence.

Lotus Cortina is the commonly used term for the Ford Cortina Lotus, a high-performance sports saloon, which was produced in the UK from 1963 to 1970 by Ford in collaboration with Lotus Cars.

As this car would be driven on a few occasions , the client was seeking modest monthly repayments for this weekend driver.

Funding was approved over 5 years with the client putting down a 10% deposit. Part of the capital was deferred to the end of the agreement with a balloon payment of 57% of the value of the car.

The resulting agreement meant repayments were well within the client’s monthly budget. It is the client’s intention to keep the car for the full 5 year term. At the end of the agreement he can either repay the balloon payment or refinance it.

A client of Fast Car Finance for over 3 years the client had recently purchased a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 for £450k out of his own funds. An entrepreneur who sought funding of £200k against the car to replenish his savings but also to undertake some significant restoration to this older classic car. Classic car financing was arranged via a regulated Hire Purchase facility of £200k which was approved over 2 years with a balloon of £200k, making his repayments interest only understanding the value of this car would only increase as a result of the work carried out on it. It won’t be long before this serial car collector will be back in contact for his next car project!

A long-standing Fast Car Finance client recently returned to us and was looking for used Mercedes finance for an 80’s Mercedes-Benz 280SL he had found. A long-standing Fast Car Finance client of seven years recently returned to us for classic car finance for an Alfa Romeo Guilia Super 1600. We had previously arranged Ferrari finance for this client, and we were delighted that he approached us to assist him again.

This particular Alfa Romeo was 49 years old, first driven back in 1972! Given the age of this car, this wasn’t a straight-forward transaction. However, we were delighted to arrange finance with a 10% deposit and a balloon payment at the end of the 4 year finance term. This fitted in well with the client’s wishes to keep monthly repayments as low as possible for his weekend toy.

We recently financed a classic MGB GT for a client who was keen to relive his childhood memories by adding this classic car to his collection!

Having sourced the car from a specialist MGB supplier CCHL, we were delighted to use our extensive panel of classic car finance lenders to provide finance on this incredible 1970s model. Given that the car is almost 50 years old, very few funders would finance such a car so our client was delighted that he could secure this vehicle at an interest rate of 7.3% APR, including a £15,800 balloon, which enabled him to keep his monthly repayments low.

As many Fast Car Finance clients are company directors, we are sometimes asked to finance cars through a Limited Company, particularly if the vehicle is predominantly for business use.
