We were recently introduced to a new client through one of our trusted contacts at an independent Ferrari dealership. Having semi retired, the client was looking to treat himself to a “fun” weekend car. His heart was set on a Ferrari 355 Spider.
For those unfamiliar with Ferrari terminology, “Spider” (or “Spyder”) refers to a convertible model, typically with a soft-top roof that can be retracted. The name harks back to classic open-top sports cars and is now a hallmark of Italian motoring elegance. The 355 Spider, produced between 1995 and 1999, remains one of the most iconic Ferraris of the era.
The client had test-driven a couple of examples before settling on the one; what won him over was the sheer quality of the drive.
Although the vehicle was first registered in 1998, we were able to arrange a tailored Ferrari finance Lease Purchase agreement, making ownership both accessible and financially efficient. The structure included a final balloon payment that matched the amount of the initial advance, helping to keep monthly payments to a minimum.

We had quoted this client previously and he contacted us when he was looking to purchase a Ferrari. At the point of his initial enquiry he didn’t know which model he wanted, so wished to test drive a few to see which he liked.
After looking at various cars he finally plumped for a Ferrari F430 and we were able to arrange prestige car finance for him. The client was introduced to us by an independent car dealer and was looking to purchase a Porsche 718 Spyder.
With a monthly budget of £1,000 we ran a number of quotes for the client based on a Hire Purchase Agreement with a balloon payment ( also known as a Lease Purchase Agreement )
A balloon payment is a lump sum payment which is deferred and falls due at the end of the agreement. The amount of a balloon takes into account the car make and model, age and mileage together with the estimated annual mileage you will do over the term of the agreement.
The client had heard of PCP and wanted to know the difference between PCP and Lease Purchase. The simple difference is that with a Lease Purchase Agreement the final balloon payment is not a guaranteed future value and is your risk.
We were pleased to have been able to arrange prestige car finance for the client and he was able to enjoy his convertible car.


Having seen some details of previous transactions on our website, this new client contacted us to help arrange prestige car finance on a McLaren.
Like many of our clients, he does not receive a fixed monthly salary. We often see income derived from a mixture of salary, dividends, other businesses etc so it’s important we understand how annual income is made up. Having never owned or financed a car of this calibre before the client had lots of questions, and the team at Fast Car Finance were on hand to talk him through the process. Due to his occupation it also meant some out of hours calls, something we are becoming quite used to.
Once we had arranged Ferrari finance we arranged for the client to sign the paperwork and he was able to collect his car a couple of days later. In this example the client did not opt for a balloon payment at the end of the agreement, deciding to repay it in equal instalments over a 5 year term.

Our returning client was after something a little different and decided he wanted to swap one of his current cars for a McLaren.

This customer was not really looking for car finance but was trying to raise a small sum of money as a contribution towards a pending property transaction.
We suggested to the customer that he consider undertaking an equity release against one of his cars. We knew he owned a 2014 Jaguar XKR convertible, so we set about getting this valued for him.
As he only needed to raise £8,000 an with the cars valuation well in excess of this figure we are arrange a car equity release secured against the car. In effect, he sold the car to a finance company (whilst continuing to have used and ownership). They registered an HPi marker against the car and provide a very simple Hire Purchase agreement. Once the agreement has been repaid, the HPi marker will be removed and legal title in the car will pass back to the customer.
