LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Lease Purchase Agreements are simple and straightforward to understand : hence their popularity.
The key things you need to know about financing your car via a Lease Purchase Agreement are as follows:
- If you want to buy a car outright but don’t have the funds to do so then Lease Purchasing provides a very attractive, affordable solution.
- Lease Purchasing is a method of financing a vehicle that is normally used by VAT registered companies – which is very similar to Personal Contract Purchase – more commonly used by individuals but with some fundamental differences
- The Lender will decide the retail value of the car you wish to purchase.
- The Lender will then work out an estimated future value (also known as residual value), which is based on the car’s depreciation. (There are many factors which affect a car’s depreciation).
- You the customer can put a lump sum down as a down payment and then monthly payments are made to settle the difference between the retail value and the residual value.
- Typically luxury marques hold their value better than non-luxury cars. This means they will have a higher residual value, therefore too this will result in lower monthly payments.
