This car was already known to the Fast Car Finance team, as we had arranged the finance for this longstanding customer when he originally purchased it.
With a sizeable final lump sum payment of £36,000 due to be made imminently (the “balloon”), our team were tasked with refinancing that sum over a new funding term.
In this case, the customer was also only looking to keep the car for a further twelve months, at which point he explained he would be looking to swap it for something else. Confident that this lovely little Ferrari 328 was worth considerably more than the balloon payment now payable and even though the car had been well driven and enjoyed under his stewardship, we suggested a short one-year funding term could be the solution.
The assumption of many car enthusiasts is that cars can only ever be financed over the usual 24,36, 48 or 60 months. The opposite is in fact the case, with most specialist classic car funders allowing you to finance over your sports or classic car over any term, provided it’s a minimum of one year.
Finance organised to enable the customer to enjoy interest only payments for the twelve months, with the capital then repayable at that point. In effect, we have pushed the repayment date back a further year, to enable our client to enjoy another summers motoring before he let’s go of this highly collectable and useable 328.
