The Aston Martin DB5 commenced production in 1963 and is perhaps the best known of the various AM’s to appear in Ian Flemings movies series – James Bond. The car is probably most well remembered for its appearance in Goldfinger.
Replacing the popular DB5 the new iteration in the DB series featured an all-new 4 litre aluminium engine. Standard equipment on the DB5 included reclining seats, wool pile carpets and electric windows.
When this particular DB5 became available for sale, our client, a high net worth classic car collector knew he was investing in a piece of motoring history. With a history file to envy any other, the car has also been through an extensive restoration via the renowned RS Williams.
With a complex income structure, what our customer needed was a finance partner who could understand his intricate tax affairs and provide a bespoke finance solution. The brief provided to us was to secure a very short two-year loan term, with a large part of the loan capital deferred by way of a final balloon payment.
Fast Car Finance was able to secure used Aston Martin finance exactly on the terms that the customer required. This involved a loan of £350,000 with £250,000 of this deferred for a period of two years.
