London Motor Week 28 October to 2 November

This week, whilst many school children are enjoying half term, lovers of all things motoring and luxury are enjoying London Motor Week.
This year, the Regent Street Motor Show, which is the crowd-pleasing ‘largest free UK motoring event’ part of the week will be celebrating some special anniversaries:
The iconic Mini turns 60
The 1959 Mini was revolutionary, and arguably became Britain’s most iconic car. An original version will set you back around £50,000 here.
60 years of the Austin Healey 3000
Built between 1959 and 1967, the 3-litre 3000 won its class in many European rallies and is still raced in classic car competitions enthusiastically today. You could pick up a Mk 1 1959 original here for just under £60,000
The Ford Capri is 50 years old
Marketed as ‘the car you have always promised yourself’ the Mustang-inspired Capri is as much of a head-turner today as it was on its release in 1969. An early RS 2600 model could be yours for £185,000 here.
Triumph’s TR6 is 50 this year
The TR6 was Triumph’s longest running production car. One of the most popular classic cars, especially in America, where sales reached almost 80,000, compared with less than 14,000 in Europe.
A 1969 Triumph TR6 is currently for sale here for just over £30,000
30 year anniversary of the Middlebridge Scimitar’s final model
Famously given the original Scimitar GTE as a 20th birthday gift, HRH The Princess Royal still owns one of the final Scimitar models dating to 1989.
