Ferrari Win opening Grand Prix!
Wow what a race. It started badly for the home crowd when Danny Ricciado had to start from the pits and eventually retire. But it ended beautifully for Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel with a first place finish. Not since Michael Schumacher’s dominant days in F1 have the German and Italian national anthems been played together, and it was quite poignant hearing them today.The question on our minds as British F1 Fans was why did Hamilton ‘pit’ at such a crucial time in the race and did it cost him first place? Was it his tyres or was it a bad strategical decision or both? Who knows, but one thing is certain – Toto Wolff doesn’t like losing and judging by his face at the end, we’re sure he’ll get to the bottom of it. All in all a great start to the F1 Season with Ferrari showing a lot of promise.
