RECENT FORD FINANCE DEALS

A new Fast Car Finance client who had recently purchased a modern Ferrari, wished to add a classic car to his collection and approached us for classic car finance.

The client located a 1966 Lotus Cortina being sold by a private vendor. Fast Car Finance can look to fund private purchases in certain circumstances, but they do require further due diligence.

Lotus Cortina is the commonly used term for the Ford Cortina Lotus, a high-performance sports saloon, which was produced in the UK from 1963 to 1970 by Ford in collaboration with Lotus Cars.

As this car would be driven on a few occasions , the client was seeking modest monthly repayments for this weekend driver.

Funding was approved over 5 years with the client putting down a 10% deposit. Part of the capital was deferred to the end of the agreement with a balloon payment of 57% of the value of the car.

The resulting agreement meant repayments were well within the client’s monthly budget. It is the client’s intention to keep the car for the full 5 year term. At the end of the agreement he can either repay the balloon payment or refinance it.

Having seen an incredibly well priced Mini World Rally Car for sale, our returning client could see the incredible investment potential so knew he had to buy it! Given that the car was overseas, purchasing it as a cash buyer made the Supercar finance transaction much simpler.

A savvy investor of classic rally cars, our client knew that Fast Car Finance could help him release the £300,000 he needed for the purchase from a card that he already owned – a Ford Escort RS 200 World Rally Car.

Having secured a loan of £300,000 against the existing rally car he owned, we arranged for the monthly payments to be repaid on an ‘interest only’ basis, with the capital sum of £300,000 deferred for 12 months. Our client knew he would be in a position to clear the loan in full within the next 12 months, so this bespoke funding arrangement was tailored around his short-term cash-flow. As always, our client required a speedy transaction so that he could secure the vehicle and discretion was key in the tight-knit racing community.

Essentially an interest only loan, our client knows that the value of the car will increase significantly once it has been modified, so this is a very sound (and enjoyable) investment opportunity for our rally car enthusiast client. As an avid follower of the market, our client could spot a brilliant investment and knew a great Supercar finance example when he saw one.
