Having organised used Porsche finance for this customer when he purchased the car 4 years ago, it was now time for him to make the final lump sum payment (the balloon payment) to the finance company.
This was a considerable sum of money and not cash that our customer immediately had to hand. We were pleased to advise him that is was possible to re-finance the lump sum now due over a new term.
We liaised with the existing finance provider, advised that the customer was wishing to keep the car and spread the lump sum now due over a new term. With an impeccable payment record the lender was happy to oblige, this was subject to re-inspecting the car and confirming the mileage and that it had a valid MOT.
The position was complicated by the fact the car was in storage and the customer spent a large part of his working life overseas. The Fast Car Finance team organised the Porsche inspection and arranged to meet the customer at short notice as he was about to fly back out of the UK.
