Already the proud owner of a Porsche Cayman, our client was making the enviable step up towards 911 ownership. As a self-employed individual and operating in the building and construction trades, there was understandably some nervousness around the increased monthly payments and associated running costs (insurance, maintenance etc).

A car balloon payment is a proportion of the loan which is deferred until the end of the loan term, the amount of the balloon payment is determined by the lender and takes into account, the age of car, likely annual mileage and also an estimate of the cars likely value at the end of the finance agreement.

As the client was borrowing more than £60,260 we were obliged to meet him face to face. However, due to the nervousness of the customer here and having got to know him quite well whilst he went through the car finance application process, we would have still met him face to face had he been borrowing a smaller amount. This was no small thing given he lived some 200 miles from our offices! Keen to make sure he was fully aware of what he was entering into, our Managing Director went to meet him in person, this allowed the customer to ask a number of further questions around his sports car finance loan and put his mind at rest.
