Having recently supported his son with the purchase of a Porsche, this car enthusiast came to us on the back of that recommendation looking to purchase a lovely example of a Porsche 911 Carrera T.
The brief was a simple one, the client wanted to arrange finance in his personal name, preferably over three or four years and with a balloon payment structured into the agreement at the end. The balloon payment would allow for some of the loan capital (the sum borrowed) to be deferred until the end of the loan term. In effect it reduces the monthly payment over the term, enabling the customer to enjoy lower and more affordable monthly payments. At the end of the loan term the customer can either.
- Sell the car and repay the lump sum
- Refinance the balloon over a new loan term (subject to a new finance application)
- Repay the loan and take ownership of the car

The three-year term was the most cost effective and would give the customer the flexibility he needed. The customers credit rating was exemplary so securing the finance on the required terms was simple to arrange.
