Already known to the Fast Car Finance team in a personal capacity and needing to arrange 4×4 finance to purchase a brand-new Land Rover Defender Hard Top, we were only to happy to help this customer arrange Land Rover Finance.
As a rigger in the TV & Film industry, our client was also operating as a sub-contractor via his own Limited Company. He also needed the ability to communicate and speak to us outside of normal working hours due to the time spent “on set”. Furthermore, with the Defender “hard top” being classed as a commercial vehicle, he wanted to arrange his commercial vehicle finance via a business hire purchase arrangement, one that would allow him to recover the full VAT on the vehicles purchase price.
We arranged a fixed rate hire purchase facility in the name of his Limited Company, enabling him to spread the cost of the purchase over a three year term coupled with a final balloon payment to be made at the end. The balloon payment enables him to finance the cost of the car within his monthly budget, whilst at the time allowing him;
Fixed monthly repayments
Ownership at the end if he pays the final payment (the balloon)
The ability to offset the purchase price against table profits (capital allowances)
